We have seen the subway tile trend being used in kitchen, bathroom, in industrial lofts, counters as a backsplash for years now. Inspired by the wall pattern found in metro and subway stations this “halbverband” (half-offset) way of laying tiles has found its way into many homes. We ourselves have enjoyed and used this pattern for some time now. However, we are ready for a change.
