Brass, Velvet and a touch of maximalism
All the things we love this year, IKEA is bringing together in its fall-collection. Rich materials like velvet and nature inspired patterns, a la art nouveau (Jugendstil), create a grand look. From pillows to furniture and tableware IKEA impresses us with his attention to detail and its quality manufacturing.
We have seen the trend within IKEA’s design, away from the usual cheap mass production, toward modern quality focused designer furniture and objects, over the past years. This collection is again an example of a well designed, well-produced collection that we definitely need a few pieces of in our home.
Minimalism meets maximalism.
This years trend definitely blends the two opposit world of minimalism and maximalism well. Cleans simple shapes paired with rich and opulent materials and texture remind us of past design areas like art nouveau or art deco. But enough said now we do would love to show you the pieces we believe are a must have from this years collection (available starting August in most stores)
